Unidentified Creditors Warranty
Protects the Appointed Representative and Beneficiaries against any financial claims made after distribution by creditors not identified in the Credit & Liabilities Report or by your due diligence, unless the Person had chosen to block accounts opened more than 20 years ago.
This includes liability for debts such as credit cards, personal loans, finance leases, utility bills, mobile phone contracts, online gambling arrears, and subsequent HMRC tax liabilities up to a maximum limit of £50,000.
For additional protection we also include cover for debts which may not appear in credit records including liability for membership fees, subscriptions (newspapers, milk) or to trades. Cover is automatically provided for up to 20% of the estate value, subject to a limit of £50,000.
The warranty is underwritten by the UK direct insurance arm of Munich Re, one of the World’s largest insurance companies.
(For bereavement cases only and NOT available separately.)
