Double Win for Estatesearch at The Probate Industry Awards

By Estatesearch on April 19th, 2024

Leading legal technology provider Estatesearch is celebrating a double win at the Probate Industry Awards.  Estatesearch was named the Best Legal Industry Service Provider and the Best Technology and Innovation Provider at a ceremony held in London yesterday (18th April, 2024).

Entering its sixth year, the newly rebranded Probate Industry Awards, referred to as The Probies extends its salute to excellence with a broader reach, bestowing recognition upon every nook of the probate domain. From forging meaningful industry connections to amassing widespread media acclaim, this evolution epitomises its steadfast commitment to illuminating the very dynamics that shape the industry.

Ben Furlong, Managing Director, Estatesearch confirmed: “We are thrilled and humbled to win not one, but two awards at the Probies, recognising the dedication and commitment of our entire team at Estatesearch. One of our goals is to help modernise this traditionally paper-based industry, by delivering enhanced operational efficiencies, improved risk mitigation, and access to value-added services. Continual investment in our team helps us implement technology services, delivering robust solutions that give our legal clients a competitive advantage while also helping them streamline their processes and reduce administrative burden.

One example is our flagship Financial Profile Service, accessed through our free, secure portal, which supports due diligence processes with a comprehensive and efficient method of identifying estate assets and liabilities in probate, making enquiries of over 150 financial institutions across 450 databases, cutting administration fee time.  93% reported these searches added value for clients and 70% found accounts they were previously unaware of ensuring assets were correctly distributed to beneficiaries.”

Tom Bottomley, Partner, Ewart Price said: “Financial Asset Searches have become an integral part of estate administration. We now commission these searches as a matter of course and have found that it makes the task of information gathering infinitely less time-consuming and difficult.”

Ben Furlong continued: “In just five years, we’ve gained a strong reputation for excellence, becoming the go-to partner for thousands of practitioners.  We’ve also successfully expanded into Scotland, with a dedicated Scottish account manager to look after clients in that region and recently launched in Canada. However, we are far more than just a technology company.  We place our clients at the heart of everything we do and believe that true value comes from positioning ourselves as a ‘partner’, rather than just a supplier.

Every year, we deliver hundreds of hours of training and support, we recently became ISO27001 certified to protect clients’ best interests and give customer comfort about data security.  In our recent customer survey, we were rated excellent or good by 98% of 200+ clients, with 100% of respondents stating they would recommend Estatesearch. Respondents were asked to describe our customer service in just one word:  outstanding, proactive, approachable, knowledgeable and responsive.

As one of the founders of the Vulnerable Banking Group, we also work with financial institutions, using our technology and expertise to help ensure vulnerable individuals are treated fairly.

We are now thrilled now to be named as Best Legal Industry Service Provider and the Best Technology and Innovation Provider at the Probate Industry Awards in recognition of our efforts to go over and above to ensure better client outcomes, at what is often a difficult time.”
